A tribute to my Great Grandfather Chaudhary Shishram Dahiya.

"I was very small, may be 3 or 4 years old,
Holding my Grandfathers hand going for a walk,
An old man saw me and shouted very loud "Here comes the Great Grandson of a brave man, boy you should be very proud."

That old man’s face was a very familiar one.

It was wrinkled but as bright as the sun.
He wore white clothes and a turban on his head.
And walked with a stick in his hand.
I asked my Grand Pa who that man was?
He said he was your Great Grandfathers friend, but I didn't knew who my Great Grandfather was.

I just knew his name, (Chaudhary Shishram Dahiya)

And I heard many people say that he was the bravest man that mother earth has ever seen.
I was sad why I didn't knew more about him and how he had been?
I had never seen him, he left earth long before I was born.
I felt bad and my heart was torn.

I told my Grand Pa to tell me more about his father.

He became proud and said no words can describe how great he was.
He lived and died for a cause.
I learned more and more about him as the days passed by.
I was amazed and my happiness went high.
I was happy to be the Great Grandson of such a great soul.
That day my life got its real goal."
